Anybody know where to source brand new official N64 controllers? The sticks on mine have had it and I'm not interested in cheap 3rd party sticks or tricks with sellotape. Some pointers in the right direction would be golden.

    Thanks.

You can probably source some on ebay for approx 50 pounds. Just make sure the seller has decent photos in his auction. Of the 7 *listed as new* original controllers I bought over the years 2 were used and only 5 new.

Nah. I wouldn't touch ebay with a barge pole. Too many fake "sealed" items where the box was opened "just to check contents". Either that or it's just used crap given a clean.

Have you tried restoring controllers your self? Sometimes they just need a clean, we've tried a few methods and some sticks which we thought were past it actually felt like new once they had been given some treatment.

Yeah. I'm well versed in refurbing all my gear but in this case the plastic has just grinded away too much.

Have you seen the replacement sticks on ebay? Never used one myself but plenty of people recommend them.

I've used replacement sticks before. I found a type that's an exact copy of the original N64 style (i.e not the GameCube style) and it works a treat.

Really though, someone should make reproductions of just the stick, not the whole assembly, since it's only the stick that wears out.
