So, according to that $70,000 ultimate Ebay auction, matey has Ultimate! PC-Genjin (unreleased Bonk arcade version) arcade PCB. Anyone have any info on this? Is this a location test version he has or what? Is it an entirely new Bonk adventure or a conversion of 1, 2 or 3 on PC Engine? Cool. Cheers. :smt023
Genjin means caveman. I've seen some pictures of a Jamma PCE, which was playing PC Genjin 3. This probably isn't the same thing because I also remember something faint about a Jamma game that looked extremely similar to Super Genjin.
There was a PC Genjin PCB on YJ not too long ago. Finished around 20,000 yen if I'm not mistaken. Didn't know it was that rare, or I'd have bid on it.
I hope he didn't pay any $70,000 for the regular Jamma ver. As much as it's rare, it shouldn't be any more than a few hundred dollars rare, as GP pointed out. I've seen the regular jamma ver pop up probably 3 times, so I know they are around... if it's a different ver. than that, I'd sure love to see it! -ud
