Hey guys , i've a curious thing that i bought for 5€ in a street market. I've searched about it on Google , but i haven't found much information , so i decided to post it here: So , this is Ultramem for PS2. As the booklet says , it's a save manager , jpeg viewer , MP3 player and an Elf Launcher. All into a CD. For boot it , you need to put the Pendrive into the console , and it loads the "ULTRAMEM.UPG" file. I tried to install Free MC Boot with it, but it didn't work to me (i found a tutorial to do that , but i don't remember where). It also allows you to use the Save Patcher and the Hex Editor that modify all values of the savegame. Of course you need to be an expert about hexadecimal language. Sooo that's it. If someone of you have a modified PS2 and it's interested to try it , there's the download here: https://mega.nz/#!u1NkBSpB!m0OOouwBo9Wws2p9TMZItcsZnUVZJUlbKueargUY0HM There's the image to burn + pendrive files folder (THERE'S ALSO A FILE CALLED "READ ME!" , OPEN IT!). The original pendrive size is 64MB , but you don't need to have the original that i have! you can copy these files into another USB stick. i tried with a 2 GB stick one and it works fine FUN FACT : MY PC RECOGNIZE THE CD AS "CRAZY TAXI". PROBABLY IT RUNS AS A GAME TO BY-PASS THE CONSOLE PROTECTION ? i've the PAL 1.1 version of Ultramem. there were extra .elf files available at www.ultramem.com , but it doesn't work anymore.
Oh yes , i forgot that! 64 MB. but i also tried to copy all files into another pendrive (2GB) and it works fine
Ah, cool. But if you could make an .ISO out of it and send me those pendrive files, I'll test it out on my PS2 once it gets here.
From what i could remember from HDL/HDA the start up discs also where recognised as 'Crazy Taxi' when put into a PC. Still, a handy piece of kit for anyone who doesn't have MCboot or the like
as far as i know, more or less everything of the sort, (swapmagic, HDL/HDA) are always labeled as crazy taxi, it has something to do with how the security ring of crazy taxi somehow got cloned and is (was) being used for pressing all sorts of non-sony approved things.
