Not sure how much I believe that UMD+r stuff. I need to see proof of this running.

Anyways onto the boot. I have personaly verified 100% that the hello PSP demo works. I postes about this on the dev section. It really does work (I have a JP 1.00 bios).

Now onto dumps. So far 3 games have been dumped already to my knollage and are on newsgroups.

PSP... Piracy & Hacking/hobbyist development. Born on the same day. :| (I chear development, not piracy).

There are already ISO of the games on the net! Happened a few days ago at least. Someone found out how to make them. ITs a standard format too i think.

Well, we shouldn't laugh but who here is honestly sad about this? Not me. Sony tried to be smart with this UMD when all it turned out to be was a high desity Mini Disc or Mini DVD. They should have known better. That's if all this ripping is true.

Wouldn't mind if they'd found a way to burn your own..that would make me buy a PSP for sure.

Man that's a crappy site, shouldn't take everything seriously. Right now if Paradox didn't announce it, 99% chance it's false.

could only be a blank mini-cd sticker cutted to fit the umd, and a card with the proper files for the ''hello world, PSP!'' perhaps?

It could be a blank cover stuck on to the UMD and then a memory stick with the files for hello world psp game....

Hello World, PSP really works, but I don't believe in UMD+R. UMD+R is a shitty fake.

Ah, K. Well I already stated in this topic (which I guess he did not read) that I verified the hello world to be real. I have the demo on my Memory stick and have ran it quite a few times to show to people (my psp is JP 1.0 bios).

read that and knew that, and that's what i'm saying too. it could only be a from a memory stick, and not from that suposed UMD-R.

am i that difficult to read?:smt022

edit: nevermind, i thought that ''hello world PSP!'' thing was on the UMD-R, but the two things aren't related. oh well.

Even if it's fake or not, it's cool nonetheless.

Trust me sony is doing all it can to prevent any piracy, think about it, they have to send the disks to japan for the games to be pressed and only they can do it, as well sony said they would not at all release a umd burner. In fact correct me if im wrong, sony took out the ability to play demos on a memory stick, though with this elf file thing im guessing thats been solved. But from the looks of it i can see all this special format really was for was to prevent it from being easily copied, even 64dd disks are impossible to copy from what i hear.

Who needs UMD+Rs when there's 2 and 4GB Memory Sticks anyway? Though you would probably need to sell a kidney or two to pay for one, never mind find one...
