Does anyone know what chip is used by the UniBios, only reason I ask is I would like to burn a free version as a backup for when I send my chip away each time to Razoola I do support Razoola and always send my chips to him so this info is not seeked to make a quick buck I assure you
27c1024/27c210, 150ns or faster (so lower, 120, 90, 70 etc) If you have the ability to burn the chips, I am sure Raz will send you the file, rather than sending the chip back and forth. There is no point him restricting the file from you, as you could just dump your own chip when you get it back anyway. He sends me the files to burn for installs I do, so I dont see why it would be any different for a customer upgrade - if anything, it saves him the work?
cheers buddy I will ask him. right now i'm contemplating getting a GQ 4x and wanted to know all the possible chips I will come across, so that I know it will be compatible. don't want to spend £800 plus on the great system you have, I just wont be using it enough to warrant that. I only want something decent that will do all my personal programing. (not fussed about ATMEGA as I have a USBTinny and AVRASP)
thanks I just checked it out and is well within my budget infact I rob will just get one now and be done if I only ever use it a few times that would be money well spent. As its you that referred it to me I am assuming that you know the device and recommend it as one that will do what I need Thanks
For the money, you cant go wrong really. I intend to pick one up aswell at some point, mostly because people are working on adding your own chips etc. Easier than having to put in a support request with my programmer.
cool gonna get one now, knowing your going to get one make me feel confident that there is at least another person that can help me with it. Sorry im assuming you will help with out asking.
I have a GQ4X and it is a great programmer with good support, but with the price difference it is hard to justify. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXOLUq_sOxQ I've had other programmers from china and lack of software support on new versions of windows was always a problem. Now that we're past everyone starting to run x64 versions of windows now that might be a thing of the past. If someone did an open source version of the software and supported Windows/MacOS/Linux then nobody would be able to compete.
cheers just checking it now btw I brought one as it wasn't a bad price for what it is wow I watched all of that lol
I may get a gq-4x but not right now and never know by the time I decide a better item may come on the market until then the minipro will work and the bonus is it replaces my USBtiny and USBAVRs which where a right hindrance to use
The GQ-4X was an amazing programmer. Loved the software and it had a very beginner friendly UI. I had to upgrade to a Xeltek Superpro 600p because of some chips i plan on programming are not supported on the GQ-4X. the 600p has a very good software and UI too but some less features, though i can just get other software to help me out with it. Would make a list and try to think on which chips you plan on programming now and in the future then pick a programmer but like bad said if the TL866CS has good device support for it, then go for it.
