That poer supply, should be just fine. Looks the same as an official one.

I have not ordered that particular part, but I have used eachgame (formerly taobaodao.com) and everything arrived fine.

Damn $5.09 not bad. Looks like it is of a pretty decent build too, nothing at all like the cheapy Chinese power supplies I've seen about.

Hehe, that was a mistake. I tried to edit it immediately after posting it, but the title didn't update; just the topic subtitle.

All righty then, I just placed an order now.

It's only $2.99 if you order from here: http://www.eachgame.hk/goods-958.html

    Pretty cool.

I like how it can take 110 and 240 VAC.

I dont like how they did not use electrolytic capacitors (the solid ones that dont blow or pop). I will change those if I buy one

Nothing wrong with electrolytic capacitors, pretty much everything uses them.

haha, I meant the solid ones. They use them in the Gigabyte Mainboards.

All right then, I recieved this and it works perfectly fine, and will work for all PS1 models from SCPH-1000 to SCPH-9000, as it has both a 5-pin (for SCPH-500x and up) and a 7-pin connector (for SCPH-100x-SCPH-3000) on it. And as said on the page it's 100-240 VAC, so it's universal in all senses of the word.

All in all I'm very pleased with it, but the only issue (if you would call it that) is the fact that they made the screw holes far too big, so it won't screw in properly. What I did to remedy this was cut out some spare sheet metal that I had for the controller ports (so it already had the screw hole in it), position it over the hole and then glue in into place, and now it fits like the original supply.
