Anyone know what this says? Not even sure if I need a red or a black disk to test it as I don't know what it says. I just put all my Saturn testing items away too and buried them deep. Ahh I won't be needing these for along time I said
I tried to boot it and got a message saying the disc was incompatible. Is that because its Japanese? Anyone know if I should be able to boot Japanese discs using a US system and the sega red&black system discs?
So its just a text manual huh? No wonder it wouldn't load. I think this came from a stack of discs I got from a Sega employee. Does the Yoshii name mean anything to any of you?
Just put the disc on your PC Cd-drive and check the content. also, use my SRP program (under winxp) to scan the header of the disc then you will know if it is a saturn disc or just a pc disc.
Looks like a PC disc. 2 file which I can't make heads or tales of either I don;t have the correct file to read them or its all Japanese text and appears like a jumbled mess on my Microsoft Word. Any value to this amoung Japanese collectors?
Quote: Does the Yoshii name mean anything to any of you? I now have an image of Johnson from the Halo series riding on Yoshi through Super Mario World picking off Brutes..
My cd drive is out so I had to wait till Sunday to get to a computer with a working cd drive. I tried to view it previously on my old lap top. Turn out it wasn't gibberish but 2 zip files and they are in english. First one VM_Harware_E opens up to several word documents. Visual Memory System Hardware Manual Revision 1.00 looks like 241 pages. Second one VM_Hardware_J has 5 main files or folders. HTML folder IMG folder Index folder Index HTML file and TOP HTML file. here are a few from the IMG folder
haha ! they used a saturn cdr to burn "confidential" informations for the sega dreamcast. that's funny !
I guess thats what you'd use if you worked at Sega. You have a stack of unused Saturn discs might as well put them to use.
*Had second thoughts about this post, which was in the 'grey' area. * Long story short; the contents of this disc could be very worthwile for VMS (homebrew)developers.
Well, I was thinking about giving some more info (got the disc here now) but reconsidered as it seems it's all info regarded as confidential. Like said, a bit in the grey area. Apologies, might as well lock this topic. I'll see if I can ''do some more" with the contents.
