unknown limited edition GBA sp

Just had this traded in to the store so I assume it is a USA release? Anyone know what this is supposed to be?

 

That's Venusaur from Pokemon, I guess it was from a Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen Promo.

Is this a hard one to find these days? The one I have is worn and without a box so I'll just sell it but I'd like to have a nice one.

I don't think it's the model with brighter screen, if I'm right this one came out in fall 2005 and the Venusaur-edition is a few years older.

 

Kaori, do you know much about that gbasp with the club nintendo colours as i have never seen it before & i have been a member of club nintendo since it was first started, so i know all the limited stuff they did.

Looks suspiciously fake as the finish is very shiney & even limited editions dont have glossy finishes like that.

I seriously doubt it is a fake. A customer who is not a collector traded it in and I paid ~$5 for it. No charger and worn.

Nah i didn't mean that green one i was referring to one of the limited editions on Kaori's site, I know that green one is legit.

Do you mean the nintendo store in america as that would make more sense as they do indeed have custom painted consoles for sale there.
