I was wondering if anyone knew of any unlicenced PCE games, other that Hacker International's pr0n 'games'? Anything actually decent and worth tracking down, or are these games just collector's peices? And what about HongKong Original software, along the lines of SMW/SF2 for Famicom. Anything crazy and worth hunting down?
I know King Games used to sell unlicensed versions of PC Engine titles. I myself owned bootleg versions of Twin Cobra and Chase HQ by King Games...purchased unknowingly through eBay of course.
I'm fairly positive that besides Hacker, the only other unlicensed PCE CD titles are the Shiawase Usagi games, which are strictly hardcore adventure games so yeah, all nudy games. Hacker games however aren't all porn, they can be actually elaborate game parodies (with porn). Whether or not they're worth it is up to you, I think they're neat as collectibles and some of them aren't actually so bad. The only unlicensed marketted HuCard titles are the Hacker ones. I don't believe that there are any Hong Kong originals. There are those unlicensed Famicom -> PCE game port compilations (ROMs) but I don't know where those came from, my guess is Japan, maybe Hacker?
Hi-Leg Fantasy is pretty entertaining (even for a non japanese speaker) if you can stomach the high price tag of course. All the other Hacker titles I have are a shade poo though (stuff like body conquest, lady sword, strip fighter 2 etc). I've heard Crazy Hospital is worth a go, but again its a tad pricey and I've yet to try it out myself properly yet so can't comment from personal experience.
I've been hunting for crazy hospital for close to 3 years now.. sure I can get factory sealed one for $300 but that's silly imho. I've yet to see minty one under 10000 yen... other than that I think I have all the Hacker Int. titles...
Someone I know was selling copies for $150 (unsealed but mint). I'll see if he has any more if that price interests you? (rememebring what you paid for Hi-Leg and all)
