Following on from Segafreak_NL's Saturn unreleased games thread here's the Dreamcast thread. Yeah, I know unreleased Dreamcast shots are not so hard to find but what I'm aiming at is to bring you shots that have not been published on the net. First up today is Innocent Tears by Global A This game was originally developed for the Dreamcast however it never did get released. An XBOX port does exist though. All the following shots come from the Dreamcast version. I'll have a video of this game up on my site soon as well, so keep an eye open for that. Tomorrow I'll upload shots of Black & White. Yakumo
Nice, a game that probably would have sold more on the DC then the Xbox... although those pictures had far too many guys in it and not enough maids or catgirls. ;-)
Here we go, Dreamcast shots of Black & White. Yet another game that would have sold Dreamcast units never sees the light of day. Yakumo
As a B&W fan I've always wondered why Lionhead planned not only one but at least three console versions of the game (PS1, PS2, DC and I think an Xbox version was being made too) and all of them were canned. Playing the game with a Dual Shock or a DC controller would have been strange, but thay could have used the official mouses for each system.
I would have bought a DC no matter what, but Geist Force was the kicker for me. When I saw shots of it I NEEDED a dreamcast.
Bringing the post back to life with new shots of the Dreamcast version of Gunvalkarie. One of the many DC games that ended up going to the bloody Xbox and for what? The did sweet FA for sales and what's sad is that we all know they would have sold far better on the Dreamcast. Video will be available on my site in about 1 hours time. Yakumo
Official Black & White Pack shot released to the Press 3rd Sept 2000, was in TIF format weighing in at 7mb. Alternative Gun Valkyrie Title Screen Logo some screenies; Hope it`s ok to post this in your thread Yakumo
Suddenly a lot of Dreamcast related material appearing - such a shame if Mark really has cashed in his DC collection and disappeared as he'd be loving all this.
I really liked Gunvalkyrie for Xbox (I hope they make a sequel one day ^_^) I remember reading at Digital Press somebody saying he had got Geist Force and other unreleased DC games, I think he had a friend working at a UK games magazine. I wonder if anybody got in touch with him back then?
A few more shots all from the same press CD, it came packaged in a retail case with information about the pack on the inserts and a large booklet containing packshots for all of the games. Originally I thought I was going to have to scan the images but was presently suprised when they were on the CD. Half Life pack shot. Gun Valkyrie pack shot. Agartha pack shot. These pack shots may not represent what the final artwork would`ve been, but were the samples given out to the press 3/9/00. Most if not all of the artwork for the released games are indentical to retail.
