I have a 3.5" floppy that has the ROM files for Kartoon Kombat, but the last file is corrupted and I couldn't find anyone who could join them together into a working ROM. I did manage to get some text from it though, I have to see if I can find someone who can take another look at the disk. It's very cool to see a screen cap of it though!
I always wondered what happened to those planed akira games. Are there any interviews out there with those directly involved with the game? The most I read was one person who did a little work on it and that's it.
Tried several things, but no luck so far. Sent it to a PC repair shop who did nothing and then sent it along to a forum member to see what they could do with, no luck there either. There is some physical damage to the disk, so I'm not sure what can be recovered that has already been lost.
http://www.tommeigs.com/games.htm homepage of the associate producer of at least one of the planned home console versions of akira. contact information is on the page as well, apparently.
