    (taken from event hubs)

Years ago, Neo Geo began creating a fighting game, but after developing 12 fighters, a handful of stages and a character select screen, they scrapped it. Never again would anyone see the potential that was this mysterious game, until now.

Neo Geo enthusiast NeoTurfmasta has discovered a long lost game on a random Dev board purchased in an auction. After a few months of tampering, Turfmasta discovered an unfinished fighting game on the board, and has shared his findings in an NG forum post.

He linked up a video of the game's character select screen, which you can watch after the jump, and has uploaded quite a few images of the fighters and backgrounds. You'll see a few in the gallery below:

The game's uniqueness factor comes in the three variations players could use to enhance their characters. The three variations are lawful, chaotic, and neutral, and each would have a specific effect that boosted a character's attributes.

Wow, this is some really cool news. It's not often you hear of a neo geo beta or unreleased game.

    Very interesting!

I've merged the two topics and left the news article as a redirect. I cleaned it up so it reads well as one, too!

This fighter seemed to have a ton of potential. We can only wonder what could have been. Incredible find.
