Hello, Today, I found this very unusual game cartridge at a Salvation Army store. The game is Vectorman but that's all I know about it and was wondering if anyone has any more information about it. Sorry about the pictures, I only have access to a MacBook webcam. Thanks. Front: Back:
Nifty. Vectorman was one of my all time favorite titles. Probably not worth much if it is just a press reviwer but a fun piece for a collector.
You might want to put some fresh stickers over the EPROM windows. UV light *will* damage the data on the chips. -hl718
It'll likely die much quicker than a regular cart regardless, so get someone to dump it, or grab a backup unit and do it yourself. It might be different from the retail release, so worth dumping to have a backup.
How much did you pick it up for? I'm guessing fairly cheap, since the SA wouldn't know the market value for review copies.
They wanted AU $2 for it because they didn't know what it is and I am thinking of getting it dumped, but don't know anyone who can do it. One question though, why does it say "Return to Virgin Interactive" if Vectorman is a Sega game?
Could've sworn Virgin's logo pops up during the games intro but GENS doesn't want to cooperate and I'm not sure where my Vectorman cart is.
The one I have has no Vergin logo, only Blue Sky Software and Sega. I also have a french add for it that doesn't mention Virgin at all. Yakumo
It could be that, in order to save money, the chips have been mounted on an old review board. Still, slightly odd though.
