Updating Debug firmware for PS3

I would love to compensate for a solution, anyone feel free to PM me

 

My DEH-H1000AS-E prototype TEST should arrive either tommorow or on Friday.
I'll see if I can figure out what's going on when I get my hands on my own.

 

BTW what exactly happens when you try to update? Do you get an error code?

 

Just that there is no suitable update found

 

Might be a bad PUP. Where did you get it from?

 

iirc it should be put in
<USB_DRIVE>:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP

shit... where do you acquire your consoles? I had a ps2 just like that, the test that went to ebay but now I really wish I hadn't done that... I didnt even get what I wanted. Anyway a few weeks ago I got some dtl-h2500 boards from a guy at a flee market, 5 plus another isa board for 14$. This is all the dev consoles I've ever had. I realllllyyyyy want a ps3 test and yours is the only test ps3 slim I've ever ever seen and thats just a picture... I've also ever found one picture of a ps2 slim test. I see you're in california, is there a place where the developers just toss these things out? because the way I got my dtl-h2500's it seems like midway games just threw them out and the guy who sold them just stumbled upon them. they were in individual antistatic bags in a box with a lot more dev boards and cartriges. I been going back to get the rest but I can't find this guy anymore.:shrug:

 

You can get them, you just have to be willing to pay.

 

Is he still messing with the PSGroove files or does he actually have a debug FW update now?
