Aloa. Can i buy a 2,5" SATA 200GB ,formated with XDK Recovery and use for the Demo Kit? Thanks in Advance.
Is there any size limits for the hardrive? like if I modded the conectors could I have a terabyte drvie hooked up?
I don't even think dev's have a limit themselves, or atleast a certain version because my friend popped in a 160 when he originally had a 120 without modification.
The 137GB limit only applies to xbox 1 dev/debug kits. But for 360 debug/dev kits I don't know the hdd limit.I know someone who hooked up a 500gb hdd and it worked just fine and you very well can go over a terabyte if needed.
So the dev kit I have on the way does not come with the SDK (so tools like recovery arent possible). Is there any other options I have in order to make the hard drive (from newegg) work on the xdk? Do I have to format or partition it with a certain compatible scheme? Are there tools that I can use, such as xplorer360(?), that can format the stock computer (2.5 sata) hard drive to work? Is the 360 sata controller 1.5 or 3?
You can format a hdd in the retail 360 dashboard as long as your not running a low kernel. So yes you can but you wont be able to add any games to the hdd as you lack the sdk.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136197Would this drive work? It's 3gb/s and I'm not sure if the 360 controller only uses 1.5.
