Picked these up last year, popped them into storage and forgot all about them. I don't know much about them. I thought you guys might want to see them and also get a bit more info.

I think they are press kits or special editiions. There are 2, the first is Fighting Vipers in a white first aid case and includes a T-Shirt, video, some plasters and band aids the other is Bug Too which has a fly squat, some plastic bugs and slides. There are some letters included which give some background the games as well as some advertising brochures. Any ideas?

That's a really interesting thing you have got there haha. Pretty cool though, I like the "Arc-Aid" bit on the box. I can't say I've ever seen/heard of something like this before...where did you get them if you don't mind my asking?

Pretty certain those are press-kits or some other kind of non-commercial promotion! And I've never seen them before... must be very, very rare! :)

Thanks yeh they are cool. Something outside the norm, The "Arc-Aid" made me chuckle. I picked them up from a guy in Germany who had a lot of promo and press stuff mainly Sega, as soon as I saw them I knew they were different and had to have them!!!!

Ha yes they were shite, I remember seeing screen shots in the official Sega Saturn mag and thinking wow a rival to Sonic!!! How wrong I was. FV on the other hand is pure class.

I got my saturn with Bug! and VF (not remix). The disappointment was palpable. The first Bug! was even more boring than Bug! Too, which at least did some neat things with the camera. I actually beat the first Bug!, which, looking back, shocks me, because that game just kept going and going and going.

It's a good thing that I got Panzer Dragoon and Astal not too long after, or else my opinion the saturn would have been much worse I'm sure.

You're right that FV is class. All the fighting games from Sega were. FMM is still probably my favorite fighting game from that generation.

Summed up perfectly FMM was the best of the bunch.

Bug might be a bit plain but it's a really good game. I think the slow pace is what kills it for a lot of people. That fly swatter looks pretty cool too

They are promotional items... basically a press kit, yes. The slides will be for publication and I assume that's an EPK video cassette in the top picture.

Lovely items! Wish I'd seen them. Thanks for sharing with us!
