Just to give a heads up, Circuit city has Dragon Quest VIII for ps2 for only $9.99 tomorrow. They have loads of the special edition ones, so a good way to scoop one or two for the future. The rest on sale was crap, but a few $29.99 360 games, including burnout revenge. (Which I will probably get). Also if you have a hollywood video, and it has a GAMECRAZY in it, new in box Donkey Konga 1 or 2 is only $19.99! They are also blowing out the ps2 vertical and horizontal stands for $4.99, which might seem like a useless item, but ps2 is nearing the end of it's life and my LE systems sure look sexay as fuck on those stands  Best buy has nothing... garbage games.. but I will drop by and make them price match the Burnout revenge 360 as they take an additional 10% of the difference off (another $2.00 making the game 27.99) Good hunting.
Hmm...9.99 for DQVIII means that I can resell it for a decent profit (Since I already own it). $30 on burnout revenge sounds pretty good though. What other games for the 360 are $30? If Fight Night is on sale, i'll pick that one up as well.
I bought Full Auto for X360 at Circuit City for $29.99. I was considering getting BurnOut Revenge but decided not to bother having played it enough on Xbox.
Picked up Burnout Revenge for the 360 for $30, and two Dragon Quest VIII's for $10. Any reason DQVIII is on sale (did it not sell well enough?). Also, Wal-Mart has the same sales Circuit City has.
Nope, never was nor will be at any stores near me in California. They are all regular price today and tommarow. Nor will ever such a sale be comming according to all the managers I spoke to. I even took a chance and went to 3 near me. There was an ad for $9.99 games today, but they were the ususal bargain bin crap. Where was this sale advertised?
The online prices at the circuit city website are changed, and I do have the local sale advertisement if you want to see it. I guess California gets scewed over in the end...
I went to best buy and price matched. And practically got in a fist fight with the clerk. Burnout revenge- Price matched to 28.99 (-5% of 10.00 difference) Dragon Quest 7.99 (best buy was $39.99 so I got $2.00 off for $7.99!) The best buy guy said that the sale was "mail in rebates" I demanded a manager and got the match. You would have thought that I was taking the money out of his pocket or something..
That is where they try to get you: saying it is a "rebate", yet there is no way to send it in. Granted, the guy could have been a idiot/misinformed as well.
Damn. Why games can't be that cheap down here. Example: There's a store near by that has a GT3 Greatest Hits for like ages, but still charge 50 bucks for it. They prefer to have it there, dissapearing in the dust instead of lowering the price.
It's one per price match. The other boxes were mashed so I didn't bother. I just asked for a Manager, the employee wasn't smart, to be blunt. It was like talking to an 8 year old behind a cash register. Circuit city regularly beats best buy's prices. They have the wireless 360 pad for $39.99, everywhere else it is $49.99 I could match their flyer at best buy and get 5% of the difference, but I would rather spend the $0.50 more at circuit city to show my support for such aggressive pricing. The cost price for the 1st party wireless is like $32.00 or so for the store, so it's damn close to cost. Circuit city just slaughters best buy on software at release time.
I wish we had a Circuit City near here. All we have is a craptacular Audio shop that was formerly a Radio Shack.
Went back to Circuit City today again and picked up Jak 3, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsonal. Not rare, but fun games in general. Was going to pick up Half-Life 2 for the Xbox, but I thought about it and decided against it (Since I have it and can play it on high settings, and the possibility of a 360 version). However, I think each Circuit City is a bit different. Mine is hit-or-miss when it comes to games coming in. Sometimes, they get games in on the ship date, sometimes it is 2-3 days after. Plus, the games are arranged in a annoying and hard to find manner.
