Hi guys, I don't mean to be too much of a pain, but I was hoping you could help me out. I'm going on a quick trip to japan in 2 weeks, starting in Hiroshima and moving up through Osaka, Kyoto then back to Tokyo... I really would like to pick up a Japanese 360, but considering the exchange rate it seems insane. A 360 here in Australia goes for $288 and that includes halo wars... (which I could trade back for 60$ or so) Looking at Super Potato a 360 there costs about $530. This is only due to the currency bottoming out (when I planned my trip it was close to 100y to 1$ Now I was figuring there must be places that sell 2nd hand 360's. The arcade is fine (though I'd prefer if it had hdmi) as I don't need a HDD. Can anyone tell me how much a 2nd hand 360 costs and where I could pick one up for a decent price? Kind regards, Venca
I see them for 15 to 20.000Â¥ I think. Not sure what package it would be then, can't really be arsed to look closely most of the time.
Thanks for that, Giel! Darn, just broke my quota for posts this year... guess I can't post for another 2 years now =/ So it shouldn't be too hard to find a used 360? I'm guessing 'used' would mean it's still in good condition... most things I've seen over the years from Japanese users have been in great condition compared to the way Aussies treat their crap. It won't matter much where I pick one up? Do prices fluctuate much between cities? (I'd rather not carry one across Japan) so if it's just as cheap to buy one in Aki or elsewhere in Tokyo I'll get one there. Thanks again guys.
If you buy it in a shop, it'll probably be as stated on the tag -- usually in better condition than that, I would say. The Arcade package is 20,000 yen retail, so you could probably get it used for 16,000 to 17,000 I would think.
