I just picked up a full size Ms Pacman at an estate auction for $90 USD, but I can't get it to power up. I'm able to see that the monitor and cabinet lights have power, but one of the fuses glows and there is a humming noise coming from the speakers. I don't hear or see anything that makes me think the board is powering on. Any suggestions?

I'd try replacing that fuse first. Can't hurt, and if it turns out to be something that simple, all the better. The other thing is to make sure that all the cables are connected properly.

Nice find, too. I've always wanted my own arcade cabinet, but they're always so expensive. $90 is a nice price, even if it's not working.

Also, there are plenty of good arcade forums on the 'net. If people here are unable to help you, you might try one of those.

Thanks for the help. I installed a temporary jumper to bypass the fuse that was glowing until I can find a replacement for the slo blow 5a fuse.

The game is mostly working, audio is fine, and the Red looks fine, but the blue and green are bleeding on the true horizontal, not the vertical it seems to be since the monitor is mounted sideways.

$90 was a good gamble since the glass panels look real good, however it has been in a food or something because there is a water line about 2 inches up the side.

Got the bleeding to stop by turning down the black level then using the"screen" pot to compensate.

If my After Burner goes out, think you can come over and fix it. If this machine quits working, I am not going to have an idea what's wrong.

The only that I know how do is change the fuses, and fix the coin mechs. :(

If one of the fuses is glowing, but has not burnt out then I suggest you replace the fuse (I would also replace the fuse holders too as they are a bane of problems) as bypassing the fuse is a stupid thing to do and could cause damage to the board. Once you done that I would suggest signing up to the KLOV forums as they have more people that could help you.
