Hi all Well i dont have a tv at home so i brought my 360 into work. Unfortunately the TV's are NTSC so I need a scaler. Does anyone know where i can buy one in Tokyo? thanks
They let you play XBox at work!? Might be cheaper to get hold of a VGA cable and use a PC monitor. If the monitor has speakers, then you'll need the necessary cables for that as well (usually phono to 3.5mm - looks like >>this<<). If there's no speakers, you can use something like >>this<< (also require x2 phono to phono adapters), in conjunction with a pair of headphones with an in-line volume control (or active speakers). I'm sure quite a few of the electronics stores round your way will have the necessary bits.
Yeah they do for research - ill have to pop into a shop and see how much those vga cables will cost me. Theres a gameplace in Shinjuku near the crossing on the way to Park Hyatt so ill give that a go but maybe one day ill afford a tv Then again I should pay for a ps3 too i guess
One more thing, you might also need a (rather kinky) female-to-female VGA converter like >>this<< Most PC monitors have a fixed cable so an adapter would be necessary.
are the tvs at work flat screens or crt? because most flat screens support ntsc and pal some of them you have to change the mode in the menu
I bought an elite awhile back and I got these components http://buyxbox360elite.info/xbox360elite.jpg The TV's are new sharp lc-40ae7 Ill have a play around and see if there's anything there on the menus
