Has anyone tried using these little cheap ferrites to clean EMI from cheap s-video cables?

I get drifting diagonal lines on my N64 and Saturn played through s-video on my 32" LCD, it's not too noticeable and improves the longer I play but I'd like it gone, this seems like a cheap easy fix, anyone tried?

Explain to me why you think ferrite filters would fix the problem?

Well I haven't done a ton of research, but apparently the faint diagonal drifting lines I'm experiencing are caused by electromagnetic interference being picked up by induction and sent to the TV along with the video signal, the ferrite blocks are supposed to smooth out or reset the magnestic field around the cable, producing a cleaner interference free picture.
