I'm making a website and since its going to be heavy into news and articles I think having a good search engine is a priority.

So I was thinking of making a google search box like other sites do, since their search engine is still pretty good (if not the best).

The thing is I dont know the legal part of this, I mean, do you need to ask google to use it? or they dont care?

For once I know that mozilla makes a killing with the google searchbox (upper right corner n00bs:110:) since google does pay them to put that into the browser.

In my case, while getting paid would be cool I know thats not gonna happen, so all I want to know is if google will rip me a new one for this...

    Any ideas?

As far as I know you're free to do it without any legal complications.

With or without the google logo?

I mean, can I use their engine without having to put the logo too?
