My dad currently has a 21" crt he wants to get rid of since he doesn't have a lot of space for it where its currently being used and he wants to use a LCD monitor he has lying arround as a tv which has the standard VGA connection.

I'm not an expert on things like this but i was thinking he could usea VGA box that has Red, Yellow, White input or whatever which then would get output to a monitor so he could connect our 2nd cable box up and use the lcd monitor as a 2nd tv since then takes up less than half the space the the crt did.

Would this be possible and if so were would be the best place to find a box that would do this sort of thing, i've had a quick google search but wasn't sure about if this would work and i couldn't find many products

There are plenty of cheap Composite-VGA connectors about, but the picture quality is a bit crap

Im pretty sure they do what your after on consoleplus.com, and if memory serves it was under £10

the other long winded way would be to use a tv card on the pc and input through that
