Does anyone know how to make a PS2 utility disc run successfully on a DTL-H30002 TEST console, Sony made all the debug stations before the DTL-H3010X series unable to run PS2 utility discs normally. I have heard of people patching the utility discs and somehow getting them to run. So far my attempts have failed. I have tried doing what you would do to backup a regular game, iso the disc - patch with loser's program - burn. The patching definitely works because the PS2 doesn't say the disk is not PS2 format, it displays the "PlayStation" screen then stops. Is there some sort of patch to get the disc showing as game disc as opposed to a utility disc? Do I have to remaster the whole disc? I have the "CD_DVD-ROM Generator 1.50" program as well if that is any help.
If you're trying to run the network disk, you'll need to have the adapter on there first. What program are you using to burn? Nero seems to have issues keeping the header of a master patched PS2 disk. Use alcohol 120%. My DTL-H30002U is my main PS2, i patched the network utility disk and use HDLoader.
I have a network adapter but the disc I am trying run is the Japanese BB. Navigator disc. I used Roxio Media Creator 7 to burn my images, but as I said in my first post it loads the "PlayStation" screen then goes black. This suggests that the console realises it is a master disc and tries to load it.
