Oy... Here's an interview with Uwe Boll where he just complains about how unfair he is treated. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=62899 I saw house of the dead, and it was garbage. I saw alone in the dark, and it was complete crap. I tried to see bloodrayne, but there wasn't a single theatre within a hundred miles that was showing it. I somehow doubt that it would have been a blockbuster... He keeps complaining that the video game developers aren't supporting the movies... uh, yeah... that's because the movies are trash. Sega wishes they could have stopped House of the dead after they saw the viewing, of course they aren't going to help you support it. Majesco just doesn't have the cash to help some film hack market his crappy movie. Uwe Boll should be aware of the financial status of his business partners if he expects them to help market his movies. None of the games he's butchered have had developers with a whole lot of cash...
I hope that the "Silent Hill" movie will raise the quality of movie games. I liked Resident Evil. It's was not good, but not bad either. But Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a joke. The movie never got scary or even with a kind of suspense. I'll never try to watch House of The Dead or Alone the Dark. The trailers were bad enough. This guy need to be stopped.
HotD 2 is on Sci-Fi this weekend. It at least looks like a campy/cheesy zombie movie with ties to the game.
"Oh, the damn game developers aren't giving me more money to make my "art!" No one understands my work!" Fuck this guy. What an asshole. I wish somebody would give me millions of dollars so I could make a piece of shit movie. That's what it would be called, " Piece of shit movie." So that way people would know what they're wasting thier money on. The last scene would be me driving a dumptruck full of cash to the bank while getting head from a cheap hooker and little kids play with my action figure on the side of the road, laughing all the way. Somebody please make a good video game movie.
Speaking of Video Game movies, wouldnt it be really funny to see the Mario movie come over to UMD? I could watch it on a PSP!
Resident Evil... and... Mortal Kom.... no... Super Mari... no... Doo... no... (although it was ok) er... ok... just Resident Evil then.
check the trailer for silent hill http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/silenthill/hd/ it looks sweet.
So why the hell is House of the dead set on an island full of piss poor actors having a rave? The movie was nothing at all like the game ! Where was the house? Where were the agents? What the hell happened to the House Of The Dead plot? I could make a better movie based on HOTD than he did. Sure the camera work would be crap as with everything else but at least it would stay true to the game. Yakumo
You know, I never thought Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was a bad movie. Aside from the stupid title, I don't think that people gave it a chance since they tried too hard to compare it with an FF game. You cannot develop the same understanding of the characters in under 2 hours as you would in 15+ hours of an FF game.
I'm pretty sure i could make a better HotD game just by filming myself playing the arcade game... It'd have more plot too...
Hmmm I liked "Final Fantasy The Spirits Within", since I did not know alot about the whole Square universe at the time, other than Secret Of Mana, and a little sporadic play of Chrono Trigger, when I saw the movie. So I liked the story, and the whole mana thing, and well I think it is a very pretty, and artistic computer generated movie. And I still to this day think it is a great sweet little Japanese computer generated anime. And now where I know the whole Square universe better, I think the movie is just plain good. And Mortal Kombat the movie, was saved by Christopher Lamberts acting. And some other stuff. But what I hear about Uwe Boll, he gets scarier by the moment. But his movies doesn´t scare me.
Final Fantasy: Spirits Within was a good movie. It was just NOT a good Final Fantasy movie. If they would have dropped the Final Fantasy ties, it would have been an even better movie, because that's where the movie shot itself in the foot, being billed as part of the Final Fantasy universe. On it's own though, it's really quite good.
