I cannot wait for the US release of Dragon's Crown. I was watching a twitch.tv stream last night of gameplay from the Japan version and its jaw dropping. Some of the best 2D artwork ever in a game combined with a solid RPG system. In Japan the game is already selling out everywhere according to twitter users there. I just played through Muramasa on vita a few months back and it was brilliant. Also played some of their PSP game Grand Knight's History and that looked spectacular though it was mostly built as a mulitplayer game. Odin Sphere on ps2 is decent but I hated the item system. I think Dragon's Crown will be their masterpiece up to this point. Anyone else into their games?

Bumping thread because this came out today. Amazing game. I think this is finally the system seller Vita needs. Its also on ps3 but its awesome to play this on a portable. Anyone else get it?
Much like DMC or Bayonetta, this might be another case of a game where the character designs are so embarrassingly bad they alone will put me off the game...
I can see what you mean by the Sorceress character but the rest of the characters look pretty great and are in the usual style of Vanillaware's George Kamitani. If you remember back to Odin Sphere the King character looked like he would fit right into Dragon's Crown. Of course to each their own. Plus the game itself is pretty fun outside of the artstyle. Think Golden Axe or Code of Princess but with real RPG elements.
