Hello forum, I recently got some very old custom computer from a business that was getting rid of them. I was wondering if there are worth anything. But i put them in the bin which i regretted.
Some old desktops are worth a decent amount, others (most of them I would say) are worth little more than scrap metal prices. Generally, if they cost a crazy amount to begin with, like some commercial rigs, they will still be worth a good amount of money today. Ebay is not the worst way of telling how much these are worth.
One of my beasts' MSRP in 1996 was $30,000.00 , was one of the first retail Quad Pentium Pro servers, the Amdahl Envista Frontline Server. I also have the EVT BETA Server for the above, Quad Pentium Pro 133 test server with ES motherboard, ES memory riser and 2 ES cpu cards with 4 ES CPU's. Recently, I was able to obtain a NOS barebones tower with PS & PPRO motherboard still in the box with "Designed for Windows 95" sticker. I've finally rebuilt my Lan Party Ring PC from the 90's using all the parts I had back then from a spec sheet I had on a Quake Clan website.
I remember when I got those pc they where about mid range as the business I got them from where like advertising and marketing business. I got them in a joblot in eBay. In the joblot there where 4 mac desktops G3,4. They where some dell one of the dell I got was a workstation dell precision 350 amoung other dell desktop. I remember those custom desktop having a 3dfx card. And a 3D rage as well I just really regret of taking them to the tip The joblot cost £10
