VGA Box help Looking to play some of my older consoles on my new 25 inch monitor it has (2) HDMI, Vga and DVI im looking for a cheap but quality VGA solution to accomplish this, any help would be great! (Consoles are using composite of course) Edit: if this is not in the right area let me know..
thanks for the help i have been looking all night with no luck. ill check them out! Edit i checked out both and VD-Z3 I could not find, i found some random vga cables for wii and ps3 with that search and idnt the X2VGA just for xbox or is it the one that only supports component.. i'm just not having any luck tonight
Hmm just like i thought, i'll need to pick up a set of component cables for my xbox if i do this. Was sorta hoping to get the other consoles hooked up too but you can't always get what you want

That is another possibility however i assume that always would require me to get some component cables..
This. You can get component cables for your Xbox at eBay for a low price, probably some cheap third party which might not be the best but certainly better than composite.
Yeah i looked more into it before passing out last night.. I'll be getting component and looking into buying the X2VGA2
There is a VGA box for the PS3 if you're out of luck and your monitor/beamer only accepts VGA input, and no component or HDMI (like mine, it would accept DVI but only non-hdcp-compliant). Got mine from amazon, just search for ps3 vga, the cable also works on the Wii and some gamecubes (those who could also use component cables). Dreamcast has a native VGA box with great quality. Xbox1 needs X2VGA (the first edition), looks and works really great - but not with all games. Xbox 360 has native VGA cables. For all older consoles I used an el cheapo PC with a TV card with composite and SVHS inputs and a good TV viewing app, then scaled and de-interlaced the picture and switched it to full screen in the native resolution the beamer supports - looked better than it ever had before.
