I used to own the ActionMAX back in 1988 or 89, I guess.

The Pack-In title was some fighter-jet thing called "Sonic Fury" and it also had trailers for other "games". You could still score points from the trailers.

Now the problem with the machine... It Never, EVER worked. Not the goofy red light you had to stick to the TV, not the score-keeper or the light gun.

    Was fun to try, though.

Worst thing about these systems is that you need to keep a working VCR to play them. Not that you'd play them, but if you're completist enough to bother having these systems, you probably would want a VCR.

Was the Palcom an overlay system? Or did it read programs from Laser? I'm tempted to take the Palcom leap, but I haven't done the overlay systems yet.

Interactivision is low priority for me, in the realm of Memorex VIS, Mattel Discovery System (which I have only because I could fine a boxed system with 15 boxed games locally), and the ever present CDI.

Even lower priority comes Action Max, Socrates, the driver game mentioned above, plug n play games (Jakks, etc), Tiger handhelds from after 1987, tape software, and suicide.

I have an Interactivision that I have been meaning to get rid of, perhaps because I can't be bothered to get a VCR hooked up to it to try it out. Odd logic dictates that ifI had found a boxed one I'd have more trouble letting go of it.

Yeah, I was sorely saddened when I received it, it had no power cord! I think has a proprietary power plug, so I'm pretty screwed. :noooo: I'll take a picture of it later to see if you guys can help.

You need to read auction descriptions more carefully:

Incidentally, View-Master is of course the name of those red 3-D picture viewers that take discs. This seems to have been a late attempt to boost sales - Tyco bought View-Master Ideal in 1989.

Heh, buyer's remorse, eh? I'm not that angry though, I'm sure it won't be hard to cobble together a cord.

It looks like a pixellated SuperGrafx with a reflex hammer attachment.

Okay, so I'm finally ready to get this thing running.

Sorry in advance for the pictures, my only camera is my phone's.

    Here is the plug:

Looks easy enough, I'm pretty sure I've seen tips like that around, looks almost like a molex connector. Now this FAQ I found says, "AC adaptor outputs 16vAC, 800mA. (Unsure of pins.)"
    Quoted from here: http://www.digitpress.com/faq/interact.txt

I would really appreciate any idea's to help me out here. Thanks!

Looks like a standard ATX12v Rail on a pc power supply. Probably could take and mod a cable out of a dead PSU.
