Hello everyone, I have been looking on the internet to try and figure out what I have stumbled across and found this great forum. I've been browsing and haven't been able to find the answers I am looking for yet so I'll just ask here. First I have is a NEC RVT-R writer and a couple of Wii RVT-R readers. Can someone tell me a little about these and what they might be worth? Second I have a Sony playstation 2 TOOL development system. From what I have found online about this is it is used to create, test, and debug games. I have seen people say they are rare and worth a bit but thats about as much as I know. Thanks in advance for any advice or information for this. Jared
I have no idea about the RVT-R writer, but the reader with accessories go for roughly $600 or so. PS2 Tool prices vary. A DTL T10000H with 233mhz SBC is generally about $400-$500 on these forums. A DTL T15000 I think is between $600 and $800 (all USD). The original box, packaging, manuals, etc will help immensely in upping the value of the TOOL. A 10000 series tool isn't all that rare, a 15000 series is fairly rare. I don't think I've seen one publicly for sale here (at least not in the time that I've been browsing the marketplace).
There are rules about asking prices etc, please consult the mods. Seeing that this is your first post it's kind of lame that it's about the sale of something you own instead of a contribution to the general knowledge base. Urisma, you should read the rules as well and modify your post accordingly, although it might be too late at this point.
Sorry, I wasn't trying to break any rules. I'm not much of a gamer and couldn't find the information I was looking for on the net so I thought I would ask the "experts". I would try to contribute to the general knowledge base but I wouldn't have a clue about this stuff anymore.
I don't see the OP mentioning he's looking to sell these... he's just asking for some information, including price. The thread maybe should go to the Price Check forum though. @jaredpost You may want to search the forums for other threads were these were being sold if you're looking for price information. You may also want to check other sources as well. On a side note, the TOOL is not were the games were developed (you can use it, but it's far from ideal); it was used (AFAIK) for developers to test and debug their code while developing (development was done in a regular computer).
