one of my favorite games is super puzzle fighter II turbo, i have it for the playstation, saturn, gba, the cpsII, and soon for the dreamcast. i have one big problem though, i am colorblind. in super puzzle fighter i cant tell the difference between the yellow and green gems. is there any company that sells a device that i could use to change the colors? i tried fiddling around with the color settings on my t.v. with no luck. does anyone else have a similar problem or a suggestion?
Now that's something you don't read every day. I was going to suggest changing the color hue, but I guess it would change the red to green and vice versa. So you'd end up with the same problems, only with different blocks.
It would have to work as a customizable color replacement (i.e. you need to explicitly tell the program what colors you are blind to and what colors you are not). Unfortunately, I am not aware of any devices or software that do this automatically.
I have exactly the same problem, G.R.A.W on the 360 was a bightmare, yellow crosshair on a level made up mostly of green? thanks Ubisoft...
Don't forget there's a PC version. There's probably a program that can provide a real-time overlay to change colours around for you within Windows (in fact eyePilot sounds about right).
thanks for the suggetions. changing the palette entries would be great, but i wouldnt know where to start. and eyepilot is awesome, i can finaly see all those numbers on the ishihara test http://www.toledo-bend.com/colorblind/Ishihara.html but it doesnt seem to be live, i have to click on the capture area to update the image.
