I'm sure if your in the new york area you've probably been here before. i figured i'd share some pictures from one of my last visits for those who have heard of the place but have never been to it. Pretty cool place with really helpful and well educated staff except for one person who shall remain undescribed or named. A tad pricey for titles in the cases but probably the best place to go for older titles in the city. im not sure of the exact adress but a quick google search should help if needed

I've been there, and yes, everything there worth buying is overpriced. The owner at least had the decency to be ashamed when he admitted that his loose Twin Famicom was $400.

Funny you mention this now. I heard about it last weekend, when i watching TV. Yes, there was this show called "Lugar Incomum" with a brazilian woman that lives in NY, checking out cool places.

Anyway, they showed the whole store, interviewed the store owner, some custumers. It was cool to watch it. I'll see if i can find a video of the show.

And yes, the name of the store is Video Games New York

There's cos-play in the store? Joking...

They're overpriced but they recently started selling arcade parts, and are one of the only places in the USA that have a direct account with Sanwa, and parts currently in stock.

I happened to order a few buttons yesterday for $3 each, and they sent a tracking number the same day, so I'm pleased with them...

I love seeing shops like this, with merchandise sitting in the display cases so long they're becoming light faded. Nostalgic and sad at the same time.

Can't be worse than J&L or the shit store in saint marks place.

You won't find any game stores that aren't priced to the moon in nyc,
Half the shit is priced so high it's basically a display. From there on it's basically a gamestop.

My front-loading Neo CD was about $50 (but with no box). $350 should at least come with a jar of Vaseline. Ouch!
