Just want to see how much this is worth.

It weights a lot but feels very solid. Has had around the house for years.
    Thanks.

This is the IBM Model M 'clicky' Keyboard. Very high quality and my favorite :)
They still sell for around $100+ dollars.

Interesting, that's quite more than I'd expect. Especially since I've collected quite a few over the years, most almost for nothing since I was repairing computers for people that were getting rid of their old stuff. The ones I currently have all have number pads though, but I did have one without. I can't remember if it was one of the older ones that required a PS/1 to PS/2 adapter for the more common computers available.

Well it is a model M. One question; is it really from 1984?

My friend picked up a Model M sans numpad at a sale recently.
Damn good keyboard. Even the ones with the numpads are great too, a bit big though.

Do you plan on using it or selling it?

They are the best keyboards ever. :D All you need is a proper AT(or an AT to PS2 convertor to a PS2) to USB convertor, these have electronics in them so they tend to cost a lot more then the passive PS2/USB convertors. Then you have the best keyboard in the world, Apple could do well to learn what a decent keyboard is rather then making the keyboard even cheaper then cheap and pretend it's a fashion statement.

I'll say it now, the fastest and most accurate keyboard for me is a Mac keyboard.

The clicky Mac keyboards back in the ADB port days was a nice keyboard but the current ones are utter shite.

Very nice keyboard. Taka Taka is the best way to describe them.

Recently picked up a MCK-101 SX myself for £2. The older mech's are nice keyboards and feel very sturdy. I have yet to use a newer one from Razer or something similar.

I was honestly kind of surprised to find out that Model Ms were in such high demand on the internet.

Just a few years ago, I used to run into them all the time, and people were usually throwing them away because they didn't like the color or the lack of Windows keys.

They're so common, you could probably go to an auction with a lot of liquidated office equipment and get a box of them for change.

If you want a really loud keyboard the model F is even more "clicky" than the model M. You need to build an adapter because it used totally different scan codes and it's key mappings are a bit weird. I just built an adapter for a friend of mine, it was a fun side project.

The model M is definitely worth at least $100.
