I would like to collect some information for a friend who is a fan of old toys (like 1970s and before) and model railways.
From what I remember there is a Liberty store in Akiba (5 I think) that sold model cars, but I don't know too much about railways and esp. vintage stuff. Im looking for shops not only in Tokyo but in any big city.

Furthermore he is, just like me, a trainiac (one of the major reasons why he wants to hit Japan). Any special tracks that you guys can recommend? Apart from the Shinkansen I think there are very interesting cog railways and cablecars hidden in the mountains in the vacation area around south-central and northern Japan.

Well, anyway I'd be thankful for every info you got
