So I want to put swiss on my viper gc extreme flash memory...I'm assuming I do this with the usb programmer that came with the chip as well as the send DOL program for the viper.....but I'm not certain how to do it exactly.....from some random reed in I've read that the viper does not take any DOL file but it needs to be compiled for the viper chip? I can't quite seem to find guides for this kind of thing that tell me what to do. Furthermore I want to use the cheat function on the viper gc extreme as well is there a place to get the cheat file to upload to the chip or something?
Viper dol is in the zip file you linked to. Connect viper to pc/install driver/use software to install dol. Its relatively self explanatory. Cant give you step by step, as I dont have one setup to take pics
Ahh ok the special dol must be contained in the zip I was not able to open it (cuz I'm mobile atm) and see the contents to verify what all was in it
seems im having an issues with to programmer staying connected, i can connect then almost imediatly the connect box says disconnect......ive tried all dip switches in all positions with nothing ive also tried a few other USB cables as well as trying to write to the flash any way and all it does is says its starting to flash the progress bar fills up like an 8th of the way and then stals out eventually erroring....no idea what im doing wrong here. i have even gone as far ad removing all the memory cards in the slots also....no controller was plugged in at any point....only thing i have not removed was the gameboy player its self i will try that tomorrow perhaps its interfering somehow?
