PS3 or Xbox 360; which version is better? I don't care about online play; I don't think that works very well with fighters anyway. It seems to me that the PS3 version should be better since the PS3 is closer to the arcade hardware (Lindbergh) because they have similar video cards. On the other hand, I've heard that the 360 version has better antialiasing. So, for those of you who have played both versions, can you say which version is better in regards to graphics, gameplay, sound, etc.?
PS3 version is B of the game and the 360 is C. So they play differently, however I'm not familiar enough with the game to be able to tell you what the differences are.
360 is based on the latest version of vanilla VF5 and has online play unlike the PS3 rev. Also, it looks better on the 360 (better than the arcade and I've played more than 10,000 matches on a Lindbergh).
The XB360 version is not based on the latest version; but it is better graphically and it is more recent, compared to the PS3 game.
They are different revisions and I can confess that if you're a good player you'll notice the difference in movement frames etc. VF5 on the 360 is based on a more balanced revision compared to the PS3 version. Practically, there's more tolerance for some bullying in the PS3 version.
Could you elaborate Gaijin? It would be good to know what makes VF5R differ so much that you'd say it is not VF5. Aside from the extra 2 fighters, that is.
