I just noticed that Virtual On Oratorio Tangram is up on xbox live arcade for 1200 points. Going to download the demo asap and hope that the game has kept all it's glory through the process of HD graphics. Also read it has 1:1 online battlemode.
Never really understood why some people find Virtual On to be so great. I still bought the game on XBLA, though. My tiny investment and contribution for what I hope means we'll get to see more XBLA releases of the "ran through the Dreamcast port-o-tron" type (I'm personally waiting patiently for Jet Set Radio + evt. an XBO release of Jet Set Radio Future... I'd buy them both... instantly... even though I already have plenty of copies of each.)
The more time you spend with it, the more rewarding it becomes. That also includes reading up on using advanced techniques and having some good human competition. Playing against the CPU is almost worthless, in my opinion.
I'm really disappointed in the lack of control pad mapping options, despite it appearing like it's very gracious in that area... You simply cannot map movement to the d-pad. Big loss... You must also waste a whole button on "jump cancel" when it should be achievable by hitting rotate L + rotate R simultaneously. This makes twin sticks a must, and... they don't exist. Looks like I'll be modding some.
i think it's not too bad in multiplayer. not such a great game anyway... were the hell is KOF98UM on XBLA? announced MONTHS ago
