i just got my new HP vista pc and im very unhappy about the lack of automactic Bilinear filtering. when i use some of my old emulators or zoom in on videos or images, i get that hideous pixelated look. however some of my emulators like kega and mame have Bilinear filtering built in, but most of them, like FCE ultra don't. is there anyway to enable Bilinear filtering in vista? just as a head's up, my system has a NVidia GeForce 6150 LE video card (shared) built in.
If I remember correctly, you can enable automatic Bilinear and Trilinear filters from the NVidia Control Center, at least it worked for Vista in my 7200GS
Download a program called powerstrip, it lets you adjust not only bilinear/trilinear filering, but also other stuff like full scene antialiasing and the clock speed of your GPU.My laptop has a Geforce 7150M and using powerstrip is the only way i can get some games/emus to use filtering
