Visual Studio 2008

Anyone else had trouble doing a full install with Visual Studio 2008? Visual 2005 works just fine, but I'd like to use Visual Studio 2008.

 

In regards to the SDK?

Visual Studio 2008 is not supported, so you cannot do a full install, unless you have Visual Studio 2005 installed.

 

Its supported if you have the right version ;-)

Which version are we talking about? I even installed SP1, but no luck either.

 

I have issues using VS2008 on my PC too. Apparently, with me it's an issue caused by beta-testing Office 2007 - the beta stuck some funny versions of various DLLs in there, and it causes the installer to flip out.

The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall Office, apparently. However, my Windows is knacked and won't do uninstalling.

 

as far as I know the latest SDK version lets you use VS 2008, good luck getting that.
