So I recently just repaired my Vita's touch screen (digitizer) and OLED screen. I was thinking I might be able to offer a service where I could repair peoples Vita consoles for them. I found the process to be pretty fun though definitely not for the faint of heart It turned out super good :D.

I have repaired numerous electronics including but not limited to PCs, Laptops, PSP's, XBOX really old 80s computers as well LOL

Before I actually build onto and revise this thread I wanted to know If the forum allows this and or if there are any special requirements to do so other than not providing a really crap half ass job for people. I also want to know if anyone is actually interested in this. I used to hack/repair/mod PSPs as well. I can provide pictures of my recent vita repair.

I am thinking 20$ labor + parts fee via PayPal and you pay shipping but you can totally get away with just sending it well packaged in a flat rate box to me. (US only at the moment although I might be willing to do out of the country as well)

Allow me a week to do the actual labor work at most in order to do a good job and not rush anything in the event I am really busy. I can also do other things for the console as far as repair but I would prefer to only do this if unless you know exactly whats wrong. (joystick got busted etc).

The replacement screens average around 50ish USD. Though I will give a final estimate based on the price of the parts I order.

Moderators/Users let me know what you think about this and Ill clean up this thread and elaborate on my repair a little including pictures!!!

You need to not be so vague. Rewrite it like a classified ad please.

Repairs also imply some kind of warranty on your work. You also need to include a clause about units that arrive that are not repairable; return shipping fees.

Don't undercut your labor, it's bad for both parties really. Generally costs should be less than a new unit, usually 50% the price of a new unit.

You should offer small upgrades to gain extra profit, if there's 3rd party buttons or shells for
appearance for example, or removal of scratches by plastic polisher.

    Good luck on your endeavor.

Just look at any professional service.

One, post details of the repair and pictures of your work. Before / after. Some ebay credentials if you have any.

Then just a very detailed list of available services with firm prices and a shipping prices (USPS priority mail flat rate box is $5.60)
Make sure you tell them to send it insured, and likewise send it back insured.

Google "mod chip install service" and you'll see what people expect (lots of info). Comparisons of original screen to replacement, etc.
