These are shirts I've acquired over the years that I think are interesting. It's kind of a sub-hobby of mine. Most of them just hang in my closet - I can't be looking like an asshat. Wipeout 3 "FLY ICARAS" USA promo shirt. Front: Back: Dreamcast USA promo shirt: Shenmue USA promo shirt. This one is beautifully done - high detail, full color, and the Shenmue logos are done in a "puffy" 3D raised ink that is very cool. I don't ever plan on wearing this - maybe I should vacuum seal it. Front: Front logo detail: Back: Back logo detail: I usually hate mass-produced "retro" shirts such as this next one, but the subject matter is cool and the pixel work is extremely good for a screen printed shirt: Artwork detail: This is probably my favorite shirt of all-time because Zuntata is dear to my heart, and I can't believe I own a Zuntata shirt. Front: It's gotten a lot of wear. Whenever someone asks what a "Zuntata" is, I have them read the back (and they're still somewhat confused): Old-school Sega iconography + good design = wearable: The tag is on the collar and features that famous Sega voice sample: Left sleeve (music select): Back: haha. UROPEAN COURSE & The Sega T-shirt System: And for the freaks who must have everything wrapped in plastic, I present sealedgameshirtheaven. Another USA DC promo shirt, sealed: And saving one of the best for last, this is a sealed GAMEST Magazine "PRESS T-Shirt": It's not called a PRESS T-Shirt because the Press wore it - it's because the shirt is compacted into a tiny shape by a powerful press that also creates the temporary raised lettering you see above. This is common in Japan for many prize and promo shirts. Space is at such a premium Back: I had one of these open about 10 years ago. Not visible is the GAMEST logo done in pale green line art. The shirt is the ridiculous Japanese "free size" - a good size for small children, but somehow meant for adult men of all sizes!:noooo: Also, the fabric is so thin, it feels like it's going to disintigrate into the air! Typical of prize shirts, from what I've seen. GAMEST is the old arcade-centric magazine that went bust, and was resurrected as ARCADIA in the year 2000. Here's the logo:
Gawrsh, I love-love-love-love-love Wipeout's graphic-design theme. Super minimalistic design, bright colors. I love the brick=shirt.
I had that black Dreamcast shirt, I ended up giving it to someone awhile ago though....it was worn quite a bit.
that Super Hang-On shirt is very very cool. so cool i might try to track one down... it will probably be impossible to find one in my size i'm afraid.
I found the site that sells the Super Hang-On shirt. However, it was all in Japanese. So I checked the International version of the site and couldn't find the shirt anywhere.
A Zuntata-shirt, wow. If I had one I would wear it everyday, anywhere I go. Zuntata is GOD. Where from?
Yes indeed. It's hard to say where the Zuntata shirt came from. I think it was simply sold in JP shops around 10 years ago. A friend of mine bought up hoards of unsold stock from Japanese shops around that time, in an attempt to sell the stuff in the USA. That's how I got the GAMEST shirt, too.
Yeah - those are a little hard to find. I got lucky and someone sold it on ebay after buying it in JP. I have an auto search on ebay looking for everything "SEGA" in the clothing section. There's a lot of crap
I don't really like those mass-produced "retro" shirts you can find in every Target or Hot Topic store. I like Nintendo, but as you can probably tell, when I'm cut I bleed SEGA.
 By the way, it's kind of funny, after posting this collection and talking about the Zuntata shirt, this went on pre-sale today: It's about $30 - not bad. I might spring for one, but I'm a DARIUS freak. It's at NCS if anyone cares.
