I've had PSVR for quite a while now, and just started getting into it more lately. Something that I've always wondered, is why developers choose to cut off the player's "hands" with a clean, straight edge at the wrist. Why haven't more people attempted to fade the wrist, to give the impression that there is more to the character? Only obvious answer I can think of, is that it's actually kind of awkward to do that in 3D, especially if the player is able to view the hand from basically all angles. They could theoretically look directly inside the wrist and see the inside of the polygons, double-sided or not. I'm not super bothered by it... it's just something I've wondered about, because it seems like a fade would be more "natural" if somebody could pull it off.
My guess would be that it has a lower footprint on the GPU to display plain poligons instead of adding more VFX that could react to the enviroment and the user, given that VR puts a heavy load on the PS4.
