NOAC chip inside one of the carts? I think it says its GB compatable, so how would that work for regular GB games?
From what I remember of the Coolboy there's just about nothing inside it, and the clone hardware comes on the system-specific multicarts. There was a lot of noise about Sega and 16-bit but I could never find evidence of anything other than a 120-in-1 famiclone cart. I wouldn't really consider that "code" stealing, that's asset theft which occurs in almost all pirate originals. Obviously some games are simple sprite hacks, but I was interested to know if any unlicensed games ripped engines (or smaller chunks of code) out of licensed games and used them for their own ends. Obviously without the source to recompile it'd be a pretty arduous process, but it's possible.
http://mozy.org/16bit/onestation/ I think that proves my point about the NOAC is inside the cart. And the same goes to the MD carts, that it is a SGOAC/SMDOAC inside the "16" bit carts. But since I haven´t seen (yet) a "16" bit cart inside, then I am only 99 % sure about that.
Uh? What are you guys talking about? The Cool Boy systems I'm talking about are these: Mainland produced and not genaric HK suff. This is a cataloge shot my cousin forwarded me. I've seen them in person as well but I never purchased any before.
Oh I get it. Ya, the units play black and white GB cartriges. Nothing fancy. Though the last time I remember seeing them, I recall the D-Pad not being so great. I'll try to see if some links are avaliable.
http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16080&page=49 Picked up a coolboy and a weird cheap famiclone. One of the games for the famiclone has Tekken on it? Are these the same things you guys are talking about?
Nah. The coolboy pictured is a diffrent 'coolboy' than the item I mention. Anyway, I was hoping to get some more legwork done on this project by now but telephone tag (not to mention other issues) with China makes things soooo sloooow!
