C128 (both original and D) has 2 separate video out for 80 column mode (RGBI) and 40 column/C64 mode (composite and S-Video) and I would like to grab a video adapter board that can take those 2 inputs and output to a standard VGA monitor. I have a 9" LCD display that was intended for POS use and going to try and hack it into a C128 laptop style. So what board would be the right kind? I tried searching eBay for composite to VGA, and got shitload of VGA to composite adapter but those are not the right ones.

I'm also getting SD2IEC and JiffyDOS to get better speed and will retain legacy serial port for external disk drives.

You need an upscaler. A decent one isn't going to be cheap. Try the Framemeister - Yakumo sells them in the For Sale section.

Why would you convert composhite when S-video is going to give you a better picture, though? And 80 column RGBI would be better still!

I have never seen a small LCD offer S-Video support :/ I'd love to keep RGB all through but C64 mode doesn't support it.
