    Hiho, I'm after a broken, hard to rescue megadrive/genesis, I could get a working one of ebay for next to nothing but I don't want to break a perfectly working machine, it's just that since I've joined these forums I've got the motivation back to do my own electronic stuff and need some parts from the megadrive.. mainly IC's, if you have one that is about to be thrown give me a message please.

    I think I have one laying around that I used to test my soldering skills. I don't know what an IC is but I doubt thats the big chip I ended up covering with rosin solder :D.

    :no I guess the big chip would have been the main cpu, I'm really after the YM2612 chip, I was obviously going to salvage the main CPU too as a 68k CPU is a nice processor for projects ;)
