Good luck on getting De La Jet Set Radio. It was only released through Dreamcast Direct.

The original was DC Direct only. It was later rereleased as part of the Dorikore serie (Dream Collection serie).

Note that there's also special packaging with a t-shirt and other goodies. I've seen it once at Traders but it was running out of money.

De La Jet Set Radio along with the European versions are the best versions. The original Japanese one is lacking levels and the difficulty is VERY different than in other version (I recall that one level was very difficult in the Japanese version, and normal in the European/US ones). The American version has terrible musics to due stupid American marketters.

I think one of the level in question was the sewers with the Poison Jam.

La Jet Set Radio isn't the same as the one released on US (including the extra music)?

I finished both US and JP versions and I don't remember any difficult difference between the games. Maybe I'm too good :smt033 j/k

JP De La Jet Set Radio = same as EU or US Jet Set Radio, except that the US one has crappy licensed music that are not in the EU or JP versions.

JP Jet Set Radio (non-De La) has a different storyline and dfficulty.

The original JP version (Jet Set Radio) is shorter. They added new levels to the EU/US versions, hence the JP re-release (De La Jet Set Radio).

Adding new level made the storyline change. You don't get the same character at the same time, etc.

Omar's description of the differences is the best.

    JSR = Original Japanese Release
JGR = JSR + US licensed music, new levels, different character order, slightly altered story
DLJSR = US version, with some English stuff left in, but mainly relocalized for Japanese players. IE - Japanese subtitles. That crappy (one song was good) licensed US music remains in the game.

I've played JSR through a few times ages ago, and still play DLJSR from time to time now. I don't recall any differencse in difficulty, but would probably even account them as getting better at the game if they were there.

Here's a nice shot of the goodies:
Brought to you buy Japanese Gaming

Do you have anything for trade? I might be willing to let go of one of mine.

    Ciao

I thought all they added for licensed music was a rob zombie song, however this is based on only playing the us version, im glad they added that extra part to the game however, cause it still seemed pretty short after beating it.

There was one techno-tune that had USA written all over it, but was nonetheless good. Still a bit out of place considering one guy did the Japanese side of the sound track.

Don't forget the European version, which includes all new levels, but without the terrible Rob Zombie and other noise.

Nope... read the description. It's Japanese "F-size" which they say means "free". I say it means "fucked". I'm 6'3" tall and rather lanky some would say. Unless I was looking to pick up at a gay club, I'd not wear that shirt.
