    Hi,

I want to buy a Nintendo NR Reader. PAL version would be the best (I was told there is a region check even on those units) but I don't care much... If someone has one to sell or has seen one around... thanks :)

Well on the old board, these things showed up a lot ( i think 3 or 4 times )

Just be aware that the NR Reader don't play commercial games. Just NR discs.

I wouldn't call them "discs" though. . .those POSs are for the hardcore only. . .you need the carts and the burners to do anything useful with em. . .why on Earth would you REALLY want one?! Actually, I could get ahold of a NTSC one. . .what's the price range? :D

  5. Heh, this makes me think of that Jeff Chong guy or whatever his name was...

Hey wyte, any chance you could get a hold of a busted one for me (or at least its shell?)

Yes I know NR readers don't play real gamecube games just special NR-discs or whatever they are called. I have a couple of them already, I got them last year from ebay but they are very hard to find.
I'm interested in a NTSC one wyte if you can really get your hands on one... not sure about the price range but let me send you an offer by pm :)

I have a PAL + NTSC NR-Reader...in the lovely green

Just trying to get some disks to use on it

I have a freind who has a NTSC NR-Reader and I am sure he needs some £...but it didn`t come cheap to him so don`t know what he will sell it for.

Will ask and re-post when he gets back to me....

Hey "MAD"....if you don`t get one....would you contemplate selling/trading on the disks?

    Hey T

Do you have ICQ/MSN at all rather than back and 4 wards here?

Sounds good virtual alan, if your friend needs some £ and is ok to sell his NR I'm sure we can find a good deal!... You've got two NR ? Never thought of selling one? :smt040

About the discs, depending on the region (PAL/NTSC) of the NR Reader I get I might sell/trade the discs of the other region...

    I`m sad....I like duplicates :smt040

Tachikoma is thinking of my m8`s NTSC NR-Reader subject to an acceptable price. The advantage is that the sellr and buyer aren`t very far from each other.

Wouldn`t want to tread on Tachikoma`s toes as he was first in the Q.

If he is not interested say at the end of next week perhaps I can sort something out for you.

I am trying to work on a deal for 40 various NR-Reader disks but the woman concerned has a vague idea of what their worth could be despite me trying toput her off.

She sold one(don`t know which one)a while ago for $150 allegedly...didn`t see the auction but someone posted the one recently here and it was for an AKKLAIM sports game that was/is pretty lame.

She has some MGS+ V-Joe disks but don`t know what she will part with for those :smt011

Dont worry about me, if someone else wants it and has the cash, they can have it. They pop up every now and then so if this one goes I can wait, im in no big rush!

    Thank you Tachikoma!
VA: I just added you to my ICQ contacts... 40 NR discs, that sounds really sweet, as long as they're 40 different games and not just different protos of the same one :smt033
