Wanted: SNES X-BAND

Does anyone know where I can buy an SNES X-Band? (Or have one that you are willing to sell?)

For those that don't remember, the SNES X-Band was a modem with "game patching" abilities (much better than the GameGenie's). Hard working individuals at Catapult Entertainment were able to turn normal games (like MarioKart, MortalKombat, etc) into multiplayer modem games! It was an amazing piece of engineering and dedication. Unfortunately, the modem had to call into a service to get the patches and find players to connect to (you could also send "emails" and receive news letters on your SNES). The service died many years ago, so I would think these should be cheap to pick up now.

(BTW, if anyone has an SNES X-Band that still has a working battery, I would love to borrow it to get the contents of its SRAM before the battery dies and the patch information is lost forever...)

I fiddled with it a couple years ago to see if I could figure out all its secrets ... I learned some, but school took up too much time and I had to set it down. Ultimately, I was hoping to create a running version of the X-Band server (probably quite limited, but running none the less).

Now I have a bit of free time and would like to work on it again, and for testing purposes it would be great to have another SNES X-Band to connect to. Unfortunately, E-Bay, Yahoo, and Amazon don't have any for sale. Where did they all go? Can anyone suggest some good places to look?

Also, if anyone would enjoy working on such a "reverse-engineering project", I welcome any extra brain-power.

Hey that's pretty neat. I didn't know anything like that existed.
Have you used Yahoo Japan before? I'm curious if there are problems such as signing up (since I don't live in Japan). Or whether language differences and overseas shipping also cause problems.

Anyway, the SFC X-Band has a different ROM in it (I don't know if they made any hardware changes as well). So while I might grab one if I see it, I'd prefer to get SNES X-Bands.

Are any of you members of Gametz.com ?
I noticed a member there (gtbaddy) has an X-Band he is willing to sell/trade. Unfortunately it sounds like signing up for just one trade is seriously frowned upon (or just not possible at all).

So if anyone is a member of Gametz.com, would you mind being an intermediate for a sell/trade? I'd be willing to give you a bit of money for your time/effort.
