WANTED: Tekken 5 from India! Anyone here from India? Read inside! PS1!!

I read this in my EGM magazine months ago and finally got around to scanning it. I REALLY badly want this Tekken 5 game. It appears to actually be Clayfighter for PS1!!!

Why would you want a pirate copy of Clay Fighter with a badly photoshopped cover?

 

Kron is right. Why would you actively seek this stuff? I've had the opportunity to buy these types of games in places like Nigeria, Indonesia and Pakistan. But really what is the point? It's not as if they're unreleased anywhere else. Tbh, you're better off buying cheap films while you're there. You realise that game must have cost only about $1 right? In Indonesia they were selling high quality PS2 bootlegs with nicely photocopied covers and booklets for only $3 a piece. (!)

These things are like Famicom bootlegs. Dime a dozen, wierd, cool to have, but nothing to pine over or yearn for. Yearn for something more exciting. Like global conquest.

But if your willing to shell out big money on this kind of stuff, Ill pick up some goodies for you when Im next in Kenya.

I think ClayFighter is an unreleased game, so i think that's why he wants it.

EDITED: Correct. Clay Fighter Extreme was being developed by Interplay, even showed up in magazine previews, but was never released.

So this is a very rare beta/prototype being sold as Tekken 5 (for PS1 )

 

Thank you. Yes, ClayFighter Extreme is unreleased. The few people who own it are keeping it (can't blame them). I want to be able to preview the game. That's my ultimate desire. Second would be to own an original beta.

 

My gfs dad goes there sometimes but im not sure he would bother...

 

Any chance of this turning up in the Mexican black market?

I've seen Thrill Kill and other stuff - and many mis-labeled (Tekken 3 is labeled tekken 4, for example) pirates.
Unless this is an Asia exclusive...

Ahh, that explains it, and thats a good reason to want it. Maybe they just made that caption up? I wouldn't put it past EGM. Surely they would know its so rare? Then again, Clayfighters has been regarded as not a very good game, so perhaps they randomly plucked a name out of the air?

By the way, care to enlighten me on some PAL PSX rarities? I haven't found a list yet, but every once in a while I found out that <game x> is rare and then I am plagued by (fake) memories of having seen it a dozen time for cheap...

 

I took a look at some of the underground markets here in Beijing (ok, not so underground - you buy pirated DVD/games in normal storefronts here for 7-8 kuai per disc, which is a bit under $1US) and didn't find this title. PS1 games are actually pretty scarce these days (though you can literally have any XB/PS2 game you want, from any region, for a dollar, and any GBA game for 2.50 including a box), but I'll check one more place before I head back to the states.
