Wanted: X-Men vs. Streetfighter

I would prefer the one for Playstation seeing as how I don't have anything that would allow me to play import saturn games...

 

Just get a cheap saturn and buy a ST-key or mod it. Trust me, you don't want to play the shitty PS version.

 

I've played the Playstation version many times and it wasn't shitty. It was great.

 

It's cool, sorry about butting in, I just think the saturn version was superior because of the ram cart, but if you want the PS version then I guess I could try and find you a copy.

 

It's alright. I don't know how much the ram cart improves gameplay at all or anything like that. The only reason I thought you said it was shitty cause it wasn't an arcade perfect port or whatever they call it.

 

The PS version sucked. The whole point of the game was tag team action and you can't do that in the PS version unless you want the same players. Get the Saturn version and a multicart.

I could've sworn you could use 2 different people..... I remember using Ryu and Cyclops (spelling) at the same time.

 

i have XvS on ps. i believe it to be a solid port apart from the fact you have to use the same character during tag matches.

 

ST-Key doesn't work, you need the 4M RAM expansion. Or play it on a Sophia with the proper jumper settings :smt033

And it can be almost proven by mathematical induction that the PSX version is inferior due to the dearth to RAM in comparison. I wouldn't be suprised if they cut a few frames, too.

 

Yeah I know, I just thought with the game needing the ram cart and all that it want without saying.

 

By the way, don't pay out of the ass for the Saturn version, I bought my boxset from a Dutch collector for 10e and they sell in Akihabara for 1280 yen, and I got a boxset-less version (ie, the disc came in the boxset but the box & cart were gone) for about 300 yen. Sometimes the game fetches such prices that you might as well get the CPS2 board ;-)
